Alba, Texas - Sonya Kay Pinnell, 53, of Alba passed away the morning of Monday, November 16, 2020. Sonya was born October 3, 1967 to Frank Stephens and Elsie Yawn. She was a proud member of the US Air Force and served 22 years before retiring as a Master Sgt. Disabled Veteran. Sonya married her husband James Pinnell Jr. on October 12, 1990, and together they shared 30 wonderful years of marriage. She was a bright, warm soul to everyone she met, and loved nothing more than being on the lake or beach with her family.

Sonya is survived by her Husband; her Daughter, Brianne Pinnell; beloved Grandson, James Rodgers; two brothers: Micheal Stephens, Stan Stephens; her sister and brother-in-law, Jamie & Tonya Willis.

As many know, Sonya held a special place in her heart for children with disabilities after her only grandson, JT, was born. We are requesting that instead of flowers, you will donate to an organization she holds closely, the Cerebral Palsy Foundation, www.yourcpf.org.

Memorial service will be held at Peters Funeral Home, 4201 Wellington St., Greenville, TX 75401, on Saturday, November 21 between 2 - 5 P.M. James and Brianne would simply like to say thank you for the outpouring of love and support received during this difficult time.
