Paris, Texas - Rickey Wayne Lucas, 78 of Paris, passed away Monday, June 29, 2026.

A funeral service has been set for Monday, July 6, 2026 at 10:00 AM at Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home with Pastor Duane Hamil officiating. A private burial will follow service. The family will receive friends on Sunday afternoon from 3:00 to 5:00 PM.

Rickey was born in Paris, Texas on September 24, 1947 to Wayne and Mareita Lucas. He attended East Paris Baptist Church. Rickey had a passion for cars from a very early age and spent a life time in various capacities in the car industry. He had a keen sense of humor and could find something funny in anything.

He is survived by his sister, Pam McCarley and husband Kyle; nieces and nephews, Lucas Ross and Heath Smith, Meagan and Drew Johnson, Lauren Gain and Casey, Andrew McCarley; step-daughter, LeAnna Bawcum and son Chandler.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Lucas; son, Justin Lucas; and his parents.
