Richard Brad Hargrave
Richard Brad Hargrave Obituary
Richard Brad Hargrave was born Aug. 16, 1973 in Garland Memorial Hospital, to his parents Ronnie and Carolyn Hargrave. Brad had two younger siblings, Craig and Heather.
Brad grew up in Josephine, Texas and attended elementary and middle school at Community schools. In Brad's sophomore year of high school, he moved to the town of Farmersville, where he proved himself to be an aggressive and excellent football player, as well as an honor student in academics at Farmersville High School.
After high school, Brad attended Texas A&M University and as a proud Aggie. He graduated with a degree in construction science in 1996. After graduation, Brad worked with the family business of slab/foundation repair.
In early summer of 2003, influenced by his younger brother and his brother-in-law, Brad pursued a career in the fire service and was hired by the Garland Fire Department in January 2004.
One year after graduating from Texas A&M, Brad married Kaiann Campbell and adopted her beautiful daughter, Rebecca. Three years later, they had a son on April 29, 2000, named Richard "Ryan" Hargrave.
Brad started his career with Garland Fire Department out in the field as a firefighter paramedic at Station 3 until they opened up Station 11. After 12 years of field work as a firefighter/paramedic, he transferred to the fire marshal's office, where he found his "niche." There, Brad was able to utilize his background in construction science and fire inspector training and excelled as a fire inspector.
On Nov. 14, 2021, Brad's life was cut short after a long, hard battle from Covid complications.
Everything about him will be missed by his coworkers and his family. He was a man who was loved dearly by many.
Brad is survived by his son, Ryan Hargrave of Travis Airforce Base, California; his daughter Rebecca Hargrave, of Cary, North Carolina; his mother, Carolyn Hargrave, of Caddo Mills, Texas; his father Ronnie Hargrave and wife Marilyn of Emory, Texas; his brother, Craig Hargrave and wife Kari of Caddo Mills; his sister Heather Gray and husband Tony of Farmersville, Texas; and two nieces and two nephews who he loved very much.
