Randy Keith Talley
At 3:00 o'clock on Saturday, November 23, 2019, Randy Keith Talley achieved the unthinkable. Randy finally out napped his beloved felines, Smokin' Joe and Peaches. While our hearts are sad, our joy is abundant with the love and memories of a man larger than life. We know that Randy will rest peacefully, waiting under the apple tree.

Randy was born to parents Wilson and Nona Renfro Talley, on February 4, 1956, in Amarillo, Texas. Randy, a farm boy at heart, always had a whopper of a story to share and a joke to crack. Doc, as called by his grand babies, proudly served his country as a Psychiatric Specialist in the United States Army from 1980 to 1986.

A true believer in education, Randy practiced what he preached. His scholarly career started in 1975 as a graduate of Duke High School. He earned his Bachelor's in Business Management at LeTourneau University. Randy attained true enlightenment from his two Master's degrees in Secondary Education and School Administration, respectively, both from Texas A&M University- Commerce.

He married the love of his life Paula "Binki" Bowman, in 2001. Together they cherished eighteen years of love, laughter, great music, and slow dances. Randy's legacy is carried on by his daughter Olivia and husband Aaron, son Luke and wife Quincy, son Dylan, sister-in-law Sheila and husband Mark Ashworth, as well as grandchildren Griffin, Reese, Spencer, and Zander - set to arrive in February. He was preceded in death by his father Wilson Talley Sr. and brother Stephan Talley. Randy is survived by his loving mother Nona Talley, sisters Jan Patton and Debra Percell, brother Wilson Talley Jr. and wife Danielle, as well as multiple nieces, nephews, and aunts who continue to celebrate Randy's wonderful life.

The family insists that people not mourn, but instead treasure and treat every moment with humor and love just as Randy did. In lieu of flowers, please consider contributing to the Randy Keith Talley Scholarship Fund, which will award a hard-working Marlow High School student looking to amplify their future at college or trade school. Donations can be made to c/o BancFirst, PO Box 193, Marlow, OK, 73055.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the high school gym on 9th Street in Marlow on Saturday, November 30, 2019, at 2:00 P.M. Inurnment will be held Monday, December 2, at 10:00 A.M. in the Fort Sill National Cemetery in Eglin. The Stephens County Honor Guard will present military honors.

My heart is broken, for Randy was a person who had a heart for others, especially students with whom we worked at Phoenix Charter School. He always had a smile, a little humor, a kind and encouraging word and working with him was a joy! My prayers are with Paula and family in these days, and I know the God of all comfort will be with them. Love you!
