Patricia Ann Abla, 78, of Caddo Mills passed away Dec. 14, 2023.


She was born April 16, 1945 in Bend, Oregon to Ruel and Margaret Sanders. Patricia was also known as "Patty Ann" or "Pat." She graduated from Caddo Mills High School in 1963.


Patricia was a kind soul who was a good friend to all who knew her.


She was blind but that didn't keep her from living life. She served as an officer for the Lion's Club of Mineola. She loved food and was a talented cook and candy maker. Patricia was a social butterfly that people gravitated toward, and she loved people.


Patricia is survived by her son, Scott Abla; sister, Jeanie Mize; nieces and nephews: Christina Holt and husband Allan, Jeff Mize and wife Jerri, Randy Mize and wife Chrissy; great-nieces and nephews: Meghann Holt, Lindsey Holt and fiancé' Nick Scott, Tyler Mize and wife Christine, Whitney Jones and husband Kenny, Jordan Richards and husband Erik, Caden Mize, Joshua Mize; and a host of loving friends.


She was preceded in death by her parents: Ruel and Margaret Sanders; husband, Norman Abla; brothers: Mike Sanders and Danny Sanders.


There will be a funeral service at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 17 at Lynch Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Patricia will be laid to rest at IOOF Cemetery in Caddo Mills following service. Bro. Kenneth Ballard will officiate.
