Commerce - Funeral services for Nell Jean Hall, age 72, of Commerce, will be conducted at 9 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 14, 2021 at Abundant Life Assembly Church in Commerce. Interment will follow at Cumby Cemetery, with the sons and grandchildren serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2021 at West Oaks Funeral Home.

Nell passed away Friday, Oct. 8, 2021 at Hunt County Regional Hospital.

Nell was born Dec. 17, 1948 in Campbell, Texas, the daughter of William Howard Winstead and Mel D. Blount Winstead. She married James A. Hall on April 23, 1965, in Sulphur Springs and he survives.

Nell was a homemaker whose whole world was taking care of her family.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by sons, Elmer L. Hall and wife Kathy of Commerce, William Hall and wife Cheryl of Commerce and Tommy Hall and wife Kellina of Ben Wheeler, daughters, Jeannie Thomas and husband Michael of Commerce and Rebekah Heady and husband Jake of Caddo Mills, she is also survived by 23 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, David "Buddy" Winstead, Tommy Winstead and Wesley "W. C." Winstead, sister, Willie Dee Spencer, grandchildren, Sarah Danielle Hall, Cristopher Thomas Hall and Noah James Hall.

Memorials may be made to the Abundant Life Assembly Church at 803 Chestnut, Commerce, TX, 75428.
