Mary "Nene Mary" Summers, 92, of Royse City, Texas passed away Sept. 28, 2022.

She was born in Celeste, Texas on Dec. 31,1929, the daughter of the late Loid and Ana V. Turney. She was one of five children.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, James Ripley Summers of 66 years.

She is survived by sons, Russell Summers and wife Cheryl of Royse City, Tony Summers and wife Debbie of Lone Oak; grandchildren, Michael Summers and wife Heather, Jana Everett and husband Brian, Daniel Summers and wife Ashley, and Zachary Summers; and six great-grandchildren Breanne, Haley, Tyler, Kendall, Andrew, and Matthew James.

Mary worked for more than 30 years at Citizen State Bank in Royse City. After retirement, James and Mary traveled the United States in their RV, enjoying time with friends old and new, and their grandchildren. Nene Mary also loved to take her grandchildren along on adventures across the country and taught them to love traveling.

Visitation will be held at Fellowship Church of Royse City on Monday, Oct. 3 at 9 a.m. with the service immediately following at 10 a.m.
