Mary Frances Payne Benton, 87, of Greenville, passed away May 26, 2022 in Greenville, Texas.

A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 29, 2022 at Memoryland Memorial Park with Mr. Mike Miller officiating. Visitation will be 2 p.m. until service time at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.

Mrs. Benton was born Oct. 21, 1934 to Rufus Payne and Opal Goates Payne. She married William Walter Benton on May 30, 1953 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. She worked as an assembler installer for E-Systems, and was a member of Greenville Church of Christ.

She is survived by her sons, Bob Benton, and Lloyd Benton; daughters, RoxeAnn Teiper, and Natalie Henderson; brother, Paul Payne; sister, Reba Dehls; grandchildren, Cory Benton, Brian Benton, Trevor Benton, Jamie Alkire, Amanda Patterson, Jerry Patterson, Mariah Reeves, Natasha Stone, Jeremy House, Chris House, Keith Benton, and Robert Torres; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Benton, daughter, Terry Be nton, her parents, great-grandson, Dusty Brock, brother, George Payne, sister, Lelda Thompson, and son-in-law, Rickey Henderson.

Pallbearers will be Cory Benton, Jeremy House, Keith Benton, Wyatt Brock, Jack Stone and Seth Rice.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Patterson, Trevor Benton and Brian Benton.
