Hawk Cove, Tx - Mark Beatte Sr., known affectionately as "Pop Pop," passed away peacefully on December 12, 2025, at 4:28 PM, at the age of 67. Born on April 13, 1958, in Dallas, Texas, Mark lived a life marked by grit, determination, and an undeniable stubborn streak that became an endearing part of his character. He was a force of nature, tough when he needed to be, and fiercely loyal to those he held dear.

While Mark may have been famously stubborn, it was this very resolve that allowed him to be a strong foundation for his family and a loyal friend to many. He was a man who knew what he believed and was unafraid to stand his ground, earning the respect of countless people throughout his life. Above all, he was loved completely and unconditionally.

He is survived by his loving wife, Candy Beatte, with whom he shared 49 years of devoted marriage. He leaves behind his loving children, Candy Jo Sparks and Mark Beatte Jr., who carry on his legacy of strength.

Mark was the proud Pop Pop to a handful of cherished grandkids: Sophie, Race, Will, and Emma, who will forever remember his big heart and the joy he brought to their lives.

He is also survived by his brother Clint and his sisters Susan, Cathy, and Joanne, along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will miss his presence greatly.

Mark "Pop Pop" Beatte Sr. will be remembered as a man of great resolve, a dependable presence, and a pillar of his family. He has left an indelible mark on all who knew and loved him.
