Borger, Texas - Marilyn Kay Chisholm found peace after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's with family by her side on March 27, 2025, at the age of 80.

Kay was born in Fort Worth, Texas November 25,1944 to T.J. Haynes and Vyneta Cagle States. In 1965 Kay married Robert "Bob" Chisholm of Vernon. Kay worked for State Farm Insurance most of her life. She and her family lived in Gainesville, TX, Vernon, TX, Grove, OK and Greenville, TX over the course of their lives.

Surviving family includes her brother Dale Haynes who was very dear to her. Kay was a cherished mother to Sara Jane Rushing her husband Rusty of Vernon, TX, Sharyn Law her husband Bryan of Grove, OK and Duane Chisholm his wife Laura of Borger, TX. A much loved and proud Nana to 11 Grandchildren, Crystal White, Derek Chisholm, Jennifer Gardner, Heather Crockett & husband TJ, Eddie Morey & wife Keeley, Fallyn Morey, Daetin Morey, Traysha George & husband Curtis, Marissa Walker, Melisa Hartlein, and James Rushing, 17 Great Grandchildren and her loyal and precious fur baby Brandi.

Kay was preceded in death by her parents, TJ and Vyneta, her husband, Bob Chisholm, her sister, Rose Hopkins, and her brothers, Troy Haynes and Larry Haynes.

Family and friends are invited to attend visitation on Friday, March 28,2025 from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home 1801 Houston Street Vernon, TX.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 1:00 pm at Wilbarger Memorial Park under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home with Mr. Todd Deaver officiating.

Memorials can be given to BSA Hospice of Amarillo.
