Funeral service for Margaret Mary Mierzwik, 88, of Emory, will be held at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, May 21, at Emory Baptist Church.

Rev. Richard Piles will officiate. Interment will follow in Emory City Cemetery.

Visitation will be prior to the service at 1:30 p.m.

Margaret passed away Wednesday, May 17, at Medical City McKinney. She was born March 8, 1929, in Bremond, to Steven J. and Bessie Duhr. She married John Henry Mierzwik in Dallas on Aug. 5, 1950.

During her working career, she was a bookkeeper for several companies and later for the family business, J-Mar Recycle Shop.

Margaret enjoyed and was a member of several organizations in Rains County, such as, Rains County Garden Club, TOPS, Chamber of Commerce, TEL and the Ruth Sunday School Class at Emory Baptist Church.

Margaret loved flowers and plants growing, much like we grow in love toward one another.

Survivors include her son, Kenneth Mierzwik (Pat) of Quinlan; daughter, Debbie K ernen (Mike) of Oklahoma City, Okla.; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and numerous other loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two great-grandchildren.
