Greenville, TX - Leo Erland Schaff, of Greenville, Texas, passed away on April 28, 2026. He was born on June 12, 1950, in North Dakota to Irene and Leo J. Schaff.
Leo spent his entire career in the aeronautical industry, a field that reflected both his intelligence and curiosity. His work took him across multiple states and countries, contributing to a full and memorable life.
He was a member of the founding class of Cochise College's Aviation Program and generously gave his time and talents to the Greenville Municipal Airport.
He is survived by his children, Katy King and Clayton Schaff, and his grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Linda Rae Asmussen and Douglas Lynn Schaff. He was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Allen Schaff.
Leo will be remembered for his humor, kindness, and sharp mind. A keen storyteller, he loved jokes, both good and bad, and shared a special bond with his rescue cat, Buddy.
No formal services are planned at this time. A celebration of life may be held at a later date.
