Plano - Gayla Francine Ashley, 65, of Greenville, Texas passed away on June 19, 2025 in Plano, Texas.

Gayla was born Sept. 5, 1959 in Greenville, to Edward Doyce Ashley and Betty Charlotte Mize Ashley. She graduated from Caddo Mills High School and retired from Case International after years of dedicated service.

Gayla was known for her unwavering devotion to her family. She was a proud mother and cherished being "Nana" to her grandchildren, always putting her loved ones first. She had a special gift for nurturing, whether it was caring for animals, tending to her plants, or creating beautiful pieces through her love of crocheting.

She is survived by her children, Kendra and her husband Brian, Kimberly, Jeffrey, and Christopher and his wife Jennifer; her brother, Eric and his partner Dwayne; and her beloved grandchildren, Tyler, Kylee, Bryce, Jaelyn, Brayden and Scott.

Gayla was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Betty Ashley, and her sisters, Rhonda and Debra.

Her family will honor her memory with a private celebration of life.

Arrangements are under the care of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.

Gayla's love, strength and steady presence will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
