Greenville - Evora Deloise Paris, 81, of Greenville, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2025. She was born on April 20, 1944 in Mineral Wells, to Buford and Evora Jaco.
In her twenties, Eve met and fell deeply in love with the man who would become the love of her life, Pete Paris. Together, they shared a life full of partnership and adventure. They embarked on various ventures, from selling and delivering mobile homes around Granbury. Later, after moving to Wagner (northwest of Greenville) in the 1980s, they also operated Floyd Store & Station. Their shared journey even included delivering newspapers around Lake Tawakoni.
In her early 40s, Deloise embraced a new calling, and returned to school to earn her nursing degree. She dedicated herself to caring for others, eventually retiring as a compassionate home health nurse.
Beyond her professional life, she was a devout follower of Christ, finding solace and strength in her faith.
She cherished her family deeply, found joy in gardening, had a special touch with animals, and consistently sought opportunities to help those around her. Her warmth and generosity touched many lives.
Evora is survived by her sister, Sylvia Mauldin of Arlington; her brothers, George Lillard (Jeanette) and David Lillard, both of Houston; her sisters-in-law, Sharon Cowart (Michael) of Wichita Falls and Carolyn Paris of Hillsboro. She also leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews and a wide circle of loving relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ernest "Pete" Paris; her brother, Gerald Lillard; her brothers-in-law, Johnny, Tommy and Gary Paris; and her sisters-in-law, Rita Lillard and Pat Paris.
Services will be held Friday, July 18, at 1 p.m. at Lynch Funeral Home Chapel in Caddo Mills. Interment will follow immediately at IOOF Cemetery Caddo Mills.
