Greenville - Dianna Gale Miller Mays, 82, of Greenville, passed away on June 6, 2026 in Austin, Texas.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 29 at 10 a.m. at Creekside Church of Christ, with Mark Wilhelm officiating. A graveside service will follow at Memoryland Memorial Park.

Coker-Mathews Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Dianna was born Aug. 14, 1943 in Greenville, Texas to Joe W. Miller and Erma Dean Harris. She married the love of her life, William Truett Mays, on May 10, 1974 in Greenville, Texas.

She was the former owner of Headlines Hair Salon and worked as a hairdresser from 1965 to 2005. She continued to maintain her license in the following years to be able to cut hair for her friends and grandkids.

Dianna also worked at Calico Cat from 2005 to 2017. Always known for her fashion-sense, she took full advantage of the Calico Cat employee discount.

When she wasn't shopping, Dianna was sharing laughs with family and friends over a game of Farkle, sewing some new clothes, or in the kitchen cooking up what was always the best dessert you'd ever had.

She was a proud representative of the Greenville community, both in her role serving on the Texas Cosmetology Commission from 1991 to 1997 and as a longstanding member of Creekside Church of Christ.

She is survived by her daughter, Shelley Bost Oehler and husband, Tom; sons, Kevin Bost and wife, Melissa, Michael Mays and wife, Joanna, Steve Mays and wife Sheila; brother, Rodney Miller; sister, Myra Reynolds and seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 2021; her father in 1990 and her mother in 2003.
