Caddo Mills - Bobbie Louise (Skinner) Hill, a woman of profound strength, intellect and heart, passed away peacefully on Jan. 5, 2026 in Greenville, Texas at the age of 76.
Born on Nov. 16, 1949 in Cooper, Texas to the late Thomas and Nelda (Wakefield) Skinner, Bobbie's life was defined by a relentless work ethic and a passion for learning. She was a proud alumna of East Texas State University in Commerce, where she earned both her bachelor's and master's degrees.
Bobbie was a true renaissance woman who excelled in every role she took on. Whether she was mentoring students as a teacher and coach, navigating the complexities of the corporate world as an administrative executive, or managing the challenges of being a business owner, she did so with a rare blend of grace and integrity.
While her professional accomplishments were vast, Bobbie's true masterpiece was the life she built with her beloved husband, Richard Hill. Over their 54 years of marriage, they created a foundation of love that extended through generations. Bobbie was a devoted mother and a compassionate daughter who spent many years selflessly caring for her parents in their later years.
Outside of work and family, Bobbie found peace in her garden. Much like the plants she tended, she had a gift for helping those around her bloom. She will be remembered as a woman of quiet strength and immense kindness — a pillar for her family and an inspiration to her friends.
Bobbie's legacy of love and integrity will be carried forward by her husband, Richard Hill of Caddo Mills; her children, Jason Hill and wife Kenna, Kasey Martin and husband David, and Barry Hill and wife Natti. Her memory will also be cherished by her six grandchildren, John David Martin, Bailey Martin, Asher Hill, Brody Hill, Waylon Hill, and Dash Hill, along with a wide circle of extended family and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Nelda Skinner.
The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Friday, Jan. 9, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Lynch Funeral Home in Caddo Mills, Texas. Following the visitation, an interment graveside service for the family will be held at noon at Oaklawn Cemetery in Cooper, Texas.
