Bill G. Walters
Billie G. Walters, 88, of Garland, formerly of Greenville, died Thursday, October 17, 2019 in Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital, Dallas. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, October 23, 2019 in Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chris Yost officiating. Graveside services will be 2 p.m., Wednesday at Simpsonville Cemetery in Simpsonville, Texas. Visitation will be Wednesday, 10:00 AM until service time.
Mr. Walters was born in Gilmer, Texas on August 24, 1931. He was the son of Oran D. Walters and Alieth Robinson Walters. He married Madge Worsham on July 3, 1954 in Corsicana, Texas. He was a veteran of the U. S. Marine Corps and a member of Wesley United Methodist Church.
He was a longtime teacher, coach and administrator, retiring as an Assistant Superintendent.
He is survived by his wife, Madge Walters; and three sons, Jonathan Walters, Jeffrey Walters and James Walters.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Joe Walters.

A very nice service, great to be there to support and celebrate. I barely knew the man, but fortunately knew one of his sons very well, another by acquaintance, and saw the greatness of the third at the ceremony! I know the emptiness that is felt in his passing, but encourage the less selfish emotion of content, knowing he did a fine job, and is in fine form with the Lord! Love you James, be strong and carry on brother! God Bless....
