Octaviano Najera, 84, of Royse City, Texas, passed away March 1, 2017, at his residence.
He was born March 22, 1932, in Donna, Texas, to Angelita Bustamonte and Pedro Najera. Tavo served in the Army as a sergeant from 1950 to 1953 in the Korean War. He owned a service station.
He is survived by his daughters, Nelda Johnson of Royse City, Angie Caldwell of Royse City, Blanca Caldwell of Como and Letica Rendon of Rockwall; sons Gus Najera of Royse City, Rene Najera of Royse City, Daniel Najera and wife Carol of Royse City, David Najera and wife Dawn of Royse City, Alex Najera of Royse City and Tavo Najera and wife Mary of California; brother Tony Luna of Dallas; 18 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Lollie Najera, brothers Juan Najera and Domingo Najera and sister Gregoria Hernandez.
Services will be held Saturday, March 4, at 2 p.m. at Lynch Funeral Home in Caddo Mills. Burial will be Tuesday , March 7, at 1 p.m. at DFW National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.
Visitation will be held Friday, March 3, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home in Caddo Mills.
