Marguriete Evelyn Martin, 92, of Greenville died Saturday, June 3, 2017, at Briarcliff Health Center. Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 7, in the Coker-Mathews Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Johnny Hailes and Dr. Marvin Mosley officiating. Interment will be in Memoryland Memorial Park.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Martin was born in Wolfe City, Texas, on Oct. 7, 1924. She was the daughter of John W. Hedric and Katherine McGrath Hedric. She married L.M. Martin on Jan. 18, 1947. She was a homemaker and member of Park Street Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, L.M. Martin of Greenville; sons Billy Mark Martin and wife Vickie of Georgetown, Tommy Glen Martin and wife Debra of Greenville and Kenneth Murrell Martin and wife Karen of Caddo Mills; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by granddaughters Lauryn and Katherine Martin; great-granddaughter Jules Martin; sisters Palijo Coker and Lillian Hedric; and brothers John Preston, Guy, Max, Dois and Dale Hedric.
Pallbearers will be Cole Martin, Kaleb Martin, Trevor Martin, John Harwell, Mark Coker and Ben Coker.
