Leland John Moody, 61, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 19, 2017, in Greenville.
Leland was born Dec. 25, 1955, to Thomas and Phyllis Moody. He loved Betty, his wife, well, as Christ loves the church. They married July 16, 1994. Leland retired from L3 as a systems engineer and was also a member of Commerce Community Church.
Leland is survived by his wife, Betty Moody of Greenville; sons Noah Moody of Greenville, Josh Moody and girlfriend Sara of New Mexico, and Jake Moody of New Mexico; daughter Savannah and husband Justin Carrizales and one grandchild, Eli, of Houston; and brother Bill Moody and wife Theresa of Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Phyllis Moody; sister-in-law Bobbi Key; and father-in-law Dana Austin.

There will be a visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 22, at Lynch Funeral Service in Greenville.
Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 23, at Salem-Kinser United Methodist Church in Greenville. Interment will follow service at Shady Grove Cemetery in Greenville.
