Bobby Lynn Malone, 68, of Greenville, died Friday, Feb. 3, 2017, at his home. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 11, at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Garmon officiating. Interment will be in Tidwell Cemetery. Visitation will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, until service time.
Mr. Malone was born in Wolfe City, on Sept. 19, 1948. He was the son of Glen F. Malone and Gerildean Nelson. He married Cathy Morphew on Oct. 5, 1979, in Greenville. He was of the Baptist faith and was a truck driver.
Survivors include his wife, Cathy of Greenville; son, Michael Malone and wife Nikki of Mogadore, Ohio; daughters, Kelly Malone Grant and husband Brett of Lone Oak and Holly Malone of Sparks, Nev.; brothers, Gary Don Malone of Greenville, Glen Dale Malone of Commerce, Jimmy Malone and wife Linda of Princeton and Frankie Malone and wife Gail of Wolfe City; sisters, Terrie Felty and husband Jimmy of Celeste, Melinda Shields and husband Jack of Bells and Judy Swinson and husband Joe of Commerce; grandchildren, Anthone Low, Megan Vaughn, Joseph Chonko, Jackson Slepoy and Ian Malone; five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Pallbearers will be Ronald Malone, Allan Malone, Dustin Malone, Chad Malone, Josh Malone, Mark Malone, Scott Lake, Danny Stidham, Gaylen Swinson and Cole Swinson. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Muecke, Matt Horn, Bradley Moore, Chawn Cooper and Phillip Casselton.
The family requests memorials be made to Lou and Jack Finney Cancer Center at Hunt Regional Medical Center.
