Bill Steele, 77, of Quinlan, Texas, passed away March 23, 2017, at home.
He was born Nov. 16, 1939, in Rock Hill, S.C., to Joseph and Bernice Steele. Bill owned his own business and was a project manager building hospitals and a master wood craftsman. He was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church, where he was known as the "Red Scooter Greeter." He taught in AWANAS and loved his "70's to Heaven" class.
Bill is survived by his loving wife, Joan Steele of Quinlan; sons William J. "BJ" Steele Jr. of South Carolina, and Dr. Richard Beatty and wife Dr. Kelly Andrzeczyk-Beatty of Oklahoma; daughter Robin Williams of South Carolina; sisters Betty Aaron of Georgia, and Kathie McDaniels and husband Ken of North Carolina; six grandchildren; and many other loving relatives and friends.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Doris Steele.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, March 29, at Ridgecrest Baptist Church at 11 a.m. with Matt Beasley officiating.
