PARIS, Texas — Jimmy Dale "Jim" Bowman, 76, of Paris, passed away Saturday, April 8, 2017, at Dubuis Hospital.
A gathering of family and friends is scheduled for Wednesday, April 12, from 6 TO 8 p.m. at Bright-Holland Funeral Home. Following the visitation, cremation will be conducted under the continued care and direction of Bright-Holland Funeral Home.
Mr. Bowman, the son of Bennie F. and Inez Reed Bowman, was born March 31, 1941, in Lone Oak.
He retired after 40 years of service at Aramark Uniform Service and retired as an owner/operator of JB's Insulation. Mr. Bowman was also a member of the Elks Lodge for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Linda Kay Bowman; a son, Terry Lynn Bowman; two sisters, Bobby Jean Stovall and Jeannette Riley; and a brother, Bennie "June" Bowman.
Survivors include a daughter, Tracy Owens and husband James of Deport; two sisters, Judy Schutz and husband Marty of Rowlett and Debra Burns and husband Joe of Rockwall; two sisters-in-law, Becky Mackie and husband Pepper of Aberfoyle and Joann Bowman of Amarillo; a brother-in-law, Jerry Easley of Houston; three grandchildren, Jayla Bowman, Josh Owens and Kalee Owens; a great-granddaughter, Aliyah Kay; and numerous nieces and nephews and friends.
