Alice Mae Foster, 93, of Caddo Mills, died Saturday, May 6, 2017, at Hunt Regional Medical Center. Graveside service will be 3 p.m., Tuesday, May 9, at Liberty Cemetery under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry McGinn officiating. Visitation will be 1:30 to 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Foster was born in Hunt County, Texas, on Sept. 1, 1923. She was the daughter of Dan Mathews and Lizzie Isham Mathews. She married Mike Carnegie Foster on Nov. 11, 1944. She was a retired Licensed Vocational Nurse and a member of Highland Terrace Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Monnie Blackwell and husband Lanny of Caddo Mills; sons Danny Mike Foster of Carrollton, Tommy Foster and wife Bobbie of Greenville and Johnny Foster and wife Linda of Henderson; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; son Clarry Foster; grandson Mathew Foster; two sisters and one brother.
Pallbearers will be Dustin Smith, Jon Ayers, Jason Foster, Daryl Miller, Richard Bench and Mike McMackin.
The family requests memorials be made to Liberty Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 391, Caddo Mills, Texas 75135.
