Shirley Jean Williams, 72, of Greenville died March 17, 2017, at the Greenville hospital. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Wesley Chapel CME Church in Greenville with Elder W.D. Pierce officiating. Burial will be at Grundy Memorial Park.
Visitation is today from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Cozine & Tarver Funeral Home.
Born June 14, 1944, in Daingerfield, she was the daughter of Alex and Mollie Walker. She married Monroe Williams Jr. in 1962 in Greenville. She was a homemaker and a member of Pilgrim Tabernacle Church of Deliverance.
Survivors include her husband, Monroe Williams Jr. of Greenville; a son, Mark Keith Williams of Greenville; two daughters, Ramunda R. Williams of Mesquite and Denise Williams of Rockwall; one brother, Jimmy Matthews of McKinney; sisters Earlie Wilkerson of Greenville and Eviron Pitts of Dallas; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Her parents, one son, one sister, and a brother preceded her in death.
