Ruth Ford Morrow, 96, of Dallas, formerly of Greenville, passed away March 24, 2017, at the Brookdale Lake Highlands in Dallas. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 29, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home with Chaplain Randolph Chappell and Pastor Larry Lakey officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Park Cemetery.
Visitation is today, March 28, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Ruth was born July 8, 1920, in Greenville, Texas to William Austin and Fannie Jewel Steen Ford. She married Henry Finis Morrow on Dec. 2, 1940, in Greenville. She retired from Sears, Roebuck and Co. where she was in charge of purchase orders at the corporate headquarters. She was of the Assembly of God faith.
Ruth is survived by her son, Billy Morrow and wife Dale of Dallas; sisters Jean Wells of Greenville, Gladys Hyden of Greenville, Dorothy Delcore of Odessa, and Barbara Hott of Irving; grandchildren Melanie McQuiddy, Dana Mendoza and Scott Morrow; six great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son F. David Morrow in 1991, brother Melvin, sister Evelyn, and all of her friends.
Pallbearers will be Jackie Boyer, Bobby Delcore, Fred Hott, Michael Hyden, James Murley and LeVoy Wells.
