Ruth Marie Hinton, 91, of Greenville, passed away on June 28, 2018. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 3, at the Coker-Mathews Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Robert Cook officiating. Visitation will be 10 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in Hall Cemetery.
Ruth was born north of Lone Oak to Ben L. Hart and Winnie Lee Long on February 17, 1927. She was a graduate of Lone Oak High School. At an early age, she was baptized into the Prairie Valley Baptist Church by Rev. Fred Moore. She later moved to Dallas and attended church there.
She had a long career with the Federal Government, which she retired from. She enjoyed helping the needy and young children.
She is survived by her son, Kenneth Walter "Walt" Hinton and leaves behind special friends, Arlene and Robert Stokes.
She was preceded in death by two half-brothers, Edwin Jerome Hart and Joseph Bailey Hart, an uncle, William Hart, niece, Fern Geraldine Hart Weiss and her parents.
Pallbearers will be Allan Stokes, Chase Stokes, Rusty Powell, Brady Powell, Charles Moore and Gary Dooley.
