Royce Dean Wallace, 59, of Garland died Saturday, Jan. 6, 2018, at his home. His funeral service will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 10, at Creekside Church of Christ under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home with Randy Daw officiating. Interment will follow in Prairie Valley Cemetery.
Royce was born in Dallas, Texas, on April 4, 1958. He was the son of Wayne Wallace and Nadine Holloway Wallace. He was the owner and operator of Wallace Roofing in Garland for many years. He was member of Highland Oaks Church of Christ. Royce was a 1976 graduate of Quinlan High School and attended Abilene Christian University. He was an avid fisherman.
Survivors include his father, Wayne Wallace of Quinlan; brothers Lowell Wallace and wife Barbara of Fort Worth, Larin Wallace of Carthage and Danny Wallace and wife Jenn of Omaha, Neb.; sisters Gwena Thomason and husband Jackie of Tyler, Gay Lagunas and husband Javier of Arlington and Donna Davis and husband Grant of Tyler; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother and brother-in-law Texas Hugh Stevens III.
Pallbearers will be Trey Thomason, Troy Thomason, Texas Stevens, Ben Davis, Will Davis and Judah Wallace. Honorary pallbearers will be Farrell Nalls, Chad Taylor, Brandon Stevens, Steve Pryce, Jim Hodo, Mark Wilhelm and Gary Pendergrass.
