Rodney Clyde Pilgrim, 74, passed away Friday, Nov. 24, 2017 at his home in Greenville. Mr. Pilgrim was born in Dallas on Aug. 4, 1943, to Herman Lee Pilgrim and Emma Jewell Anderson Pilgrim. He married Deborah Payne on Oct. 4, 1983.
He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Professionally, he worked as a journeyman meat cutter and, in retirement, went on to become a certified home inspector.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the NRA.
Surviving family members left to honor his memory include his wife, Debbie, daughters Denice and Virginia, and son Michael; grandchildren Chris, Brandi, Dustin, and Austin; and great-grandchildren Riliegh and Logan.
He was preceded in death by his parents and cousin Archie Anderson.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2017, in Coker-Mathews Funeral Home chapel. Interment will be at Memoryland Memorial Park in Greenville. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
