Robert Nathan Jackson, 80, of Wolfe City, passed away Friday, Jan. 20, 2017, at Brentwood Place in Mesquite.
He was born Sept. 9, 1936, in Summerville, Georgia, to Emmett and Fannie Teems Jackson. He married Lynda Tyson on Jan. 23, 1953, in Trenton, Georgia.
He served in the United States Marine Corp during the Korean War and was a sheet metal worker for many years.
Survivors include daughter, Lynn Surles and husband David of Wolfe City; son, Danny Jackson Sr. and wife Sharon of Irving; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; sister, Mildred Teems of Trion, Georgia; brothers, Mark Jackson of Lafayette, Georgia, and C.W. Jackson of Trion, Georgia.
Mr. Jackson was preceded in death by his wife, parents and brothers, Charles Jackson and George Jackson.
A private family memorial service will be held Friday, April 21, at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City.
