Richard Houser Sumrow, 88, passed away March 16, 2017, in Greenville.
Richard was born Oct. 23, 1928, to Fred and Ruth Sumrow. Richard was married for 57 years to the love of his life, Billie East Sumrow (May 1, 1949). Richard retired from KCS Railroad and was a member of the Salem-Kinser United Methodist Church.
He is survived by a son, Richard Sumrow II of Greenville; daughters Nickie and husband Jim Bryant of Greenville and Stacy Foley of Greenville; brother Freddie M. and wife Shirley Sumrow of Granbury; a sister, Patsy Caraway of Dallas; grandchildren Brooke and husband Michael Seabolt, Rebecca and husband Corey Reeves, and Levi and Lexi Foley; and great-grandchildren Jacob and Ashley Seabolt, Jalah, Anah, Kyler and Leah Reeves.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Billie East Sumrow on May 20, 2007.
There will be a service 2:30 p.m., Saturday, March 18, at Salem- Kinser United Methodist Church with a visitation one hour prior to service. Interment will follow at Memoryland Memorial Park.
