Pamela Yvonne Emmons, 51, of Cumby, Texas, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, July 24, 2017, in Tyler, Texas. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 5, 2017, at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Cumby with Pastor Jim Moore officiating.
Ingram Funeral Home of Quinlan is in charge of arrangements.
Pamela was born on Sept. 21, 1965, in Vernon, Texas,the daughter of Patricia Yvonne Henry Emmons and the late Bobby Joe Emmons. She was raised in Greenville and graduated from Greenville High School class of 1984. She attended the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston where she earned her Associate Degree. She worked for MAPA as a billing consultant for a number of years. She traveled throughout the U.S. reconstructing medical billing systems for numerous hospitals, and she made many lifelong friends everywhere she went. She went on to work for Orthofix in Lewisville as a medical billing specialist for more than 14 years. She taught Sunday school at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Cumby. She loved traveling, scrap booking, music of all genres and her cats, Max and Ruby. Most of all she loved her daughter, Dezi; her family and God.
She is loved and will be missed by her mother, Patricia Emmons of Cumby; daughter Dezi Rodriguez of Cumby; sister Melissa Woods and husband Danny of Cumby; nephew Quintin Kent of Cumby; aunts Minnie Glenn and husband Allen of Great Mills, Md., Brenda McGuire and husband Jay of Josephine, Mary Pollan of Denton, and Linda Emmons of Kaufman; an uncle, Jerry Emmons of Greenville; and numerous cousins she loved and who loved her.
She was preceded in death by her father; niece Brittany Kent; her aunt, Betty Hill; and her grandparents.
