Oscar Galvan Marquez, 76, passed away Sept. 18, 2017, at his home in Greenville, Texas, surrounded by his family.
Mr. Marquez was born March 3, 1941, in Monterrey, Mexico, to Pedro and Refugio Marquez.
Mr. Marquez retired as a machinist at WINGS; he was a faithful member of St. William's Catholic Church, a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Pedro and Refugio Marquez; brothers Adan, Antonio, Juan, Salvador, and Pedro Marquez; his sister, Eva Marquez; and great-granddaughter Ashten Daniels.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Robles Marquez; his son, Rickey Marquez; daughters Rosanna Marquez and Victoria Harris; his brother, Hector Marquez; his sister, Maria Elena Flores; grandchildren Richard Harris and wife Chelsea, Kristen Harris, Taylor Anderson, Jazmyn Wilson, and Mia Hale; and 10 great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held 5-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 20, at Lynch Funeral service in Greenville with a service at Lynch Funeral Service in Greenville on Thursday, Sept. 21, at 11 a.m.
Pallbearers will be Joe Melendez, Dylan Mayo, Carlos Robles, Cinto Robles, Toney Harris, and Julio Reyes. Honorary pallbearers will be Darian Reynolds, Sean Harris, Dayvon Jackson and Thadeous Harris.
