Nancy Sue Goode, 83, was born June 30, 1934, to Roy and Clela Flinn in Jennings, Okla., and passed July 8, 2017, in Greenville, Texas.
Since 1977 she had worked alongside her son, Steve, at Steve's Nursery, south of Greenville. She took horticulture classes, and in 1987 she became a graduate of the very first class of Texas Master Certified Nursery Professionals. Her life's work was to give accurate answers to those who asked questions about gardening and landscaping.
She is survived by her son, Steven Goode; daughters and sons-in-law Susan and Charles Davis of Greenville and Sandy and David Wall of Canyon, Texas; brother and sister-in-law David and Sara Flinn of Fredricksburg, Va.; grandchildren Holly Davis, Karen Davis, James Wall and wife Cynthia, April Bonde and husband Jonathan and Arinn Wall; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Roy Goode; parents and sister Donna Fraser.
Visitation was 6 to 8 p.m., July 10, in the Lynch Funeral Service chapel in Greenville.
Graveside service is at 10 a.m. today, July 11, at Memoryland Memorial Park in Greenville.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made through the Greenville Hospital to the Hunt County Alzheimer's Association.
