Melba Louise Henderson Weeks, 82, of Greenville, died Friday, Feb. 10, 2017, at Legend Healthcare. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2017, at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Chet Haney and Rev. Royce Litchfield officiating. Interment will follow in Memoryland Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Weeks was born in Caro, Texas, on June 19, 1934. She was the daughter of Vernon J. Henderson and Rozine Winder Henderson. She married Oran P. Weeks on April 12, 1974, in Greenville. She was a nurse and director of Parkhaven Nursing Home and a member of Highland Terrace Baptist Church.
Survivors include her brother, Rickey Henderson and wife, Christy of Greenville; nieces, Vannette Pollinzi of Sachse, Felicia Hollander of Rowlett, Mariah Rice of Greenville, Natasha Stone of Dallas; and nephew, Joey Henderson of Colorado. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and brother, Joe Henderson.
Pallbearers will be Marvin Hollander, Joey Henderson, Ryan Rice, Jake Hollander, Jason Hollander, Jack Stone and Seth Rice.
The family request donations be made to "Cause for Paws" in Mrs. Weeks' memory.
