Mary Hawkins Mallard, 81, of Greenville died April 19, 2017. Her service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at New Bethel CME Church in Neylandville with Rev. John P. Brown officiating. Burial will be at East Mount Cemetery.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with a wake from 7 to 8 p.m. today, April 28, at Cozine & Tarver Funeral Home.
Born in Greenville on Oct. 29, 1935, she was the daughter of Emmitt and Perry Lee Rand Hawkins. She married Rev. Willie Mallard in 1976 in Tyler. She worked as an attendant at MHMR. Mrs. Mallard was a member of New Bethel CME Church.
Survivors include her husband, Rev. Willie Mallard of Greenville; three stepsons, Gregory Mallard, Gerry Mallard and La Paul Mallard, all of Dallas; two stepdaughters, Ruthenia Mallard and Trina Brown Mallard, both of Dallas; a brother, Preston Hawkins of Greenville; one sister, Beverly Hawkins Brown of San Antonio; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Her parents, six brothers, three sisters and one stepdaughter preceded her in death.
