James "Boots" Norfleet, 90, of Greenville, died Thursday, May 4, 2017, at his residence. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 9, 2017, at Webb Hill Cemetery under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home with Mr. John Little officiating.
Visitation will be Monday, from 5 to 7 p.m., at the funeral home.
Mr. Norfleet was born in Hunt County, on March 22, 1927. He was the son of Everett James Norfleet and Allie Pannell. He married Martha Ellen Furlong on Nov. 4, 1944 in Rockwall. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, a Baptist and a retired postal clerk.
Survivors include his sons, James Norfleet of Greenville and David Norfleet and wife, Brenda of Greenville; grandchildren, Dee Coyle and husband, Shawn, Christy Norfleet and husband, Jeff Caperton, Jason Norfleet and wife, Rebecca and Lori Woodford and husband, Jon; great-grandchildren, Aaron and Madison Coyle, Ellen and Olive Caperton, Taylor Carroll, Tyler Lowry and Chelsey Porier; and great-great-grandchild, Ava Carroll.
He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; sister, Lucy Willeford; and brothers, Eugene, Everett Alvie, Dock, J. L. "Jake" and Frank Norfleet.
