Gerald Wayne Little, 85, of Greenville went to his heavenly home, Thursday, March 9, 2017, at his home. Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Sunday, in the Coker-Mathews Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Royce Litchfield officiating. Interment will be in Memoryland Memorial Park.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Gerald was born in Delta County, Texas, on June 27, 1931. He was the son of Charlie Little and Ima Poteet Little. He was a graduate of Greenville High School and married Barbara Stanford on Jan. 5, 1953, in Durant, Okla. He worked hard all his life and was the retired owner of Little Trucking. Gerald was a member of the Church of The Nazarene and loved the Lord, his loving wife of 64 years and the rest of his family. He also loved his Harley Davidson motorcycles and was a member of the Antique Automobile Club.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Little of Greenville; son Jerry Little and wife Shelly of Greenville; daughter Susan Herbert and husband David of Greenville; brothers Don Little of Houston and Larry Little of Sherman; sisters Joy Davis of Greenville and Linda Devers of Greenville; and grandchildren Jonathan Herbert and wife Ali of Commerce, Julie Herbert of Greenville, Jeremy Little of Greenville, Kittrell Vinson, Charles Vinson and Maddie Vinson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter Jamie Little, brother Mark Little and sister Vickie Katchinska.
Pallbearers will be Jonathan Herbert, Jeremy Little, Bubba King, Jeff Stanford, James Stanford and Lanny Row.
