I am the son and grandson of Pioneer Oklahoma families, born Jan. 1, 1918, to Robert Miles and Loretta Mary Hutchinson on a farm in Kiowa County, Okla. I was the circulation manager and later general manager of the Greenville Herald-Banner.
I was preceded in death by my first wife, Ruth Alfreda Yentz, and by my oldest son, Robert John Hutchinson.
I am survived by my wonderful wife of 35 years, Marjorie (Jeanie) Frazier; daughter Bettye Louise Short; son Joe Frank Hutchinson and wife Carolyn; and sister Alice McCollom. I leave six grandchildren, Angela Cox, Stephen Hutchinson, Deborah Wedge, Danette Marx, April Hutchinson, and Bradley Hutchinson. I am also survived by nine great-grandchildren, Robert Cox, Kyle Cox, Tiffany Cox, Jordan Cox, Alex Marx, Brianna Wedge, Nicole Wedge, Joseph Gill, and Lincoln Gill; and one great-great-granddaughter, Olivia Cox. In addition, I am survived by a most wonderful second family which I love and cherish as my own, Gary Smith and wife Kathy, Deanna Caraway and husband Steve, Mitchell Smith and wife Vicky, Jack Kimble and wife Rhonda, and Phyllis Blair and husband Scott. Out of this second family there are nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
