Emma Jean Byers, 90, of Greenville, formerly of Nashville, Ark., passed away on Friday, Oct. 20, 2017, at Briarcliff Health Center. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 22, 2017, at the chapel of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home with Rev. Roy Youngblood officiating. Burial will follow at Memoryland Memorial Park.
Visitation will be Sunday from 1 p.m. until service time.
Emma was born on Oct. 4, 1927, in Nashville, Ark. to Ernest and Cleo Walden Shaddox. On Dec. 2, 1946, she married Neil E. Byers in Nashville, Ark.
Emma was a devoted wife and mother, caring for her family. She was member of First Baptist Church of Greenville for 44 years.
She is survived by her daughters, Becky Byers Berry and husband, Ricky of Sulphur Springs, Betty Byers Estes and husband, Steve of Commerce, Karen Jo Barrow and husband Howard of Greenville; sister, Ernestine Martin of Greenville; grandchildren, Michele Berry Colburn and Jon, Nan Ruffo and Stephen, Neil Howard Barrow and Morgan, Jace Byers Barrow and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband and two brothers.
Pallbearers will be Howard Barrow, Neil Howard Barrow, Jace Byers Barrow, Ricky Berry, Jon Colburn, Steve Estes and Stephen Ruffo.
