Dorothy Pearl Pierce, 94, of Greenville died Oct. 30, 2017, in Rowlett. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 4, at Greater Rose of Sharon Church of God in Christ with Supt. Michael Williams officiating. Burial will be at Grundy Memorial Park.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. today, Nov. 3, at Cozine & Tarver Funeral Home.
Daughter of Warner and Elizabeth Boldware, she was born Oct. 24, 1923, in Greenville. She was a homemaker and was a member of Greater Rose of Sharon COGIC.
Survivors include three sons, John Pierce (Dorothy) of DeSoto, Carl Pierce (Diane) of McKinney, and Stanley Pierce of Greenville; three daughters, Gloria Ann Perry of New York, NY, Carol Traylor (Larry) of Rowlett and Martha Gilstrap of Greenville; sisters Juanita Tidwell, Zora L. Stanberry, Della Doris Garrett (Lafayette), and Mary Roberson, all of Greenville; 35 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; 18 great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister, and one brother.
