Darren Todd "Jesse" Barnhardt, 55, of Garland, Texas, passed away early Monday, Oct 30, 2017, at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Rockwall of sudden heart failure.
Born in Greenville, Texas, on Aug. 26, 1962, he was the son of Barbara (Collier) Barnhardt of Sherman and Charles and stepmother Janie Barnhardt of Greenville. He attended primary schools in Dallas, graduated from Greenville High School in 1980, and attended college in Los Angeles, Calif. He loved Jesus Christ and displayed this love with his kindness and generosity toward everyone who knew him.
Todd was a talented carpenter, artist and interior designer, working in New York City, Los Angeles, and Dallas, once having his work featured in Architectural Digest. He also ran a successful catering company in Los Angeles, serving several events for the film industry. In recent years he acted as caregiver for his beloved Aunt Carole with whom he resided. He loved adventure, participating in sky-diving, horseback riding, and had a budding career as a country singer.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by sister Kimberly and Kenneth Williams of Sherman, brother Adam Barnhardt of Los Angeles, sister Jennifer and Adam Newton of Houston, Aunt Carole Wade of Garland, stepuncle Johnny and Toni Walker of Greenville, nieces Morgan Williams and Ramona Newton, several cousins, and many dear friends in DFW and around the country.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
There will be a public visitation and viewing at Lynch Funeral Service on Saturday, Nov. 4, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. with a service immediately following.
