A memorial service celebrating the life of Christopher J. Parish will be held at 3 p.m., Oct. 29, at Family Fellowship in Greenville.
Chris, 69, died Sept. 22, 2017, in Corpus Christi following a sudden illness.
A Greenville native, Chris was born Oct. 3, 1947, to Charlie Joe Parish and Rose Ann Weidner Parish. He married Jane Marie Delaloye on May 9, 1974.
Known for his dedication and work ethic, Chris served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and held a variety of jobs after returning to the U.S., including camera room foreman for the Greenville Herald-Banner, draftsman for E-Systems and Space Corp., machine operator in Plano and construction work in the Greenville area. Even after retiring due to health issues, he continued to tackle building and gardening projects at home until his death.
Survivors include his wife; son and daughter-in-law Jeff and Melinda Parish and their children, Tiffany, Ian, and Robert Parish of Onalaska; and son and daughter-in-law Zach and Soknov Parish and their daughter, Mealea Parish of Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
He was preceded in death by his father on Oct. 15, 1979; his mother on March 11, 2015; and his brother, Jeffrey Rob Parish on Dec. 13, 1991.
