Carolina Byrne, 88, of Greenville passed away Feb. 22, 2017, at her home in Greenville.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 25, at First Church Royse City with Rev. Jason Hammack officiating. Coker-Mathews Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements. Interment will follow at McWright Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., today, at the funeral home.
Born Jan. 16, 1929, in Foster, Okla., Carolina was the daughter of Noah Pursley and Grace (Selby) Pursley. On Dec. 21, 1972, in Wichita Falls, she married Michael Byrne.
Mrs. Byrne was a homemaker. She was a faithful member of her church. She was a charter member of First Church Royse City and a former member of Living Word Church in Greenville.
Her survivors include her husband, Michael; sons, Larry and Jeffery Huff; daughters, Sherry Davidson, Shelia McMullen and Rebecca Hammack; grandchildren, Joey, Susan, Darell, Rhonda, Raina, Melissa, Dale, Shannon, Amenda, Eric, Tonia, Bonnie, James, Joshua, David, Michael, Nicholas and Noah; 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 10 brothers and sisters; son, Sammy Huff; two daughters, Carol Robinson and Judy Gail Inman; and one grandson, Russell Wells.
Pallbearers will be Michael Hammack, Corbin Hill, Rick Morton, Jerry Huffman, Ronnie McGuire and Nathan Henderson.
