Carlene Perry Duncan, 74, of Greenville, passed away Sunday, Oct. 1, 2017, in Dallas. A visitation is scheduled for 10 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 7 at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home, and a graveside service will follow at 11:30 a.m., at Memoryland Memorial Park with Rev. Royce Litchfield officiating.
She was born on Aug. 1, 1943, in Greenville, to James Carlton Perry and Juanita Orr Perry. Carlene married Robert A. Duncan on April 26, 1963, in Greenville.
She was a nurse for Greenville's Dr. Sandin for many years, and she is a member of Lake Fork Baptist Church. Five of the highlights of Carlene's sweet life were (and are) her five kids. Of course, in her mind "kids are kids" regardless of their ages, and she continued to "mother" those kids until she received her angel wings. Carlene was a true blessing to all of her kids and grandkids.
She attended Greenville schools and had a host of personal friends in the same class, Greenville High School's class of 1961.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Duncan; sons, Carl Garrett and wife Shannon and Rob Duncan and wife Christina; daughters, Paige Clark and husband Chris, Tracy Duncan, and Kelly Lowe and husband Chris; grandchildren, Sean Garrett, Chad Garrett, Amber Garrett Denson, Matthew Clark, Ashleigh Clark Moore, Sarah Duncan, Beck Duncan, Cate Duncan, Bailey-Paige Lowe and Jacob Scott Lowe; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her grandparents.
Pallbearers will be Chris Clark, Chris Lowe, Sean Garrett, Chad Garrett, Matthew Clark and Beck Duncan.
Memorials may be made to Presbyterian's T. Boone Pickens Hospice, 12477 Merit Dr., Dallas, Texas, 75251.
