Brenda's Story

A graveside service for Brenda Ann Devenport Evans, 75-year-old Leonard resident, is scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday May 30, 2017, at the Leonard Cemetery. Bob Lewis and Charles Wrenn will officiate.
Brenda was born Jan. 7, 1942 at Greenville. Her parents were Bernard Alton and Dorothy Lou Ethridge Devenport. She married Jimmie Clay Evans March 17, 1967, at Denison.
She was a member of the Leonard Church of Christ and enjoyed being a mom and a housewife. She especially enjoyed gardening, attending her grandchildren's sporting events, as well as anything else pertaining to her grandchildren.
She passed away at her residence Friday, May 26, 2017, after a difficult battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis.
Brenda is survived by her husband of 50 years, Jimmie Evans, of Leonard; her son, Kevin Evans, of Arlington; her daughter and son-in-law, Jami and Bill Watson, of Leonard; her sister, Judy Kay Clingan, of Greenville; her three grandchildren, Bridget Michelle Watson and Billy Michael Watson Jr, both of Leonard, and Jowel Kevin Evans of Arlington and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
