Billy Garlon Williams, 82, died Thursday, May 25, 2017, in Irving, Texas, five years after being diagnosed with dementia. He died peacefully in his sleep.
He leaves his daughter, Melody Roberts and husband Robin of Longview, Texas; daughter Kelly Williams of Reidsville, N.C.; grandsons Jeramie Yeoman and Clayton Davis; and two great-grandchildren. He also leaves his brother, Harold Williams of Campbell and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Garlon and Faye Williams, and his son, Michael Williams.
At his request, his body has been donated to the University of Texas-Southwestern for Dementia/Alzheimer's Research.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
