Billy Douglas Powell, 45, of Caddo Mills, passed away on July 7, 2019 at his residence. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Royce Litchfield and Dr. Chet Haney officiating. Burial will be in Memoryland Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at the funeral home.
Mr. Powell was born January 1, 1974 in Denton, Texas to Ross Powell and Billye Kaye Lee. He worked as a safety consultant and was a member of Highland Terrace Baptist Church. His passions and loves were his children and guitars. He walked with the Lord and knew Him intimately. He had a very close and loving relationship with his nephew, Joah.
He is survived by his parents, Ross and Kaye Powell; son, Marshall Powell; daughter, Kayelee Powell; sister, Buffy Powell; nephew, Joah Escalante; along with numerous other cousins.
He is preceded in death by his nephew, Jay Escalante, grandfather, Billy Lee, paternal grandparents, James and Loretta Kitchens and aunt, Kathy Howard.
Memorials may be made to the Highland Terrace Baptist Church, Rebuilding Fund, 3407 Ridgecrest Rd., Greenville, Texas 75402.
