Billy Allen Coker, 72, of Wolfe City, passed away Thursday, Jan. 19, 2017, at Charlton Methodist Hospital of Dallas. Funeral services will be at the chapel of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at 2 p.m. with Dr. Kelly Carr officiating. Burial will follow at Memoryland Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service on Tuesday.
Billy was born on Nov. 15, 1944 in Greenville to Truman Wesley and Vera Naomi Cates Coker. He married Lisa Carter on June 25, 1996 in Hugo, Okla.
He was in the National Guard and worked as a truck driver.
Billy is survived by his wife, Lisa Coker of Wolfe City; sons, John Chaney and wife, Victoria of Wolfe City, Danny Thomas of Corsicana; daughters, Katie Chaney and husband, Billy of Cedar Hill, Wendy Coker-Stowe and husband, Eric of Cedar Hill and Jackie Flanary of Flower Mound; one sister, Patsy Boss and husband, Benny of Sulphur Springs; grandchildren, Brittany, Courtney, Connor, Nathan, Braylon, Jayden, Ryan, Jordyn, Noah; great-grandchild, Charlotte; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Merle Douglas; and grandson, James Fenn.
Pallbearers will be Jayden Coker, Lloyd Coker, Nathan Coker, Billy Crosby, Eric Stowe and Danny Thomas.
