Beverly Shirleen Antrim Hager went to be with the Lord on Jan. 23, 2018, in Greenville, Texas.
Born in Harper, Kansas, on Feb. 22, 1932, to Ralph and Vera Grim Antrim, she was the second of four children. She married her high school sweetheart from "rival" Anthony, Kansas, Victor Hager, in Bentonville, Arkansas, in January 1951.
Beverly studied nursing at the University of Wichita and later completed her Associate Degree in Seattle, Washington. For 13 years she worked for Dr. Jerry Coker in Greenville and later worked for Greenville ISD, in the counselor's office until she and Vic retired and moved to Club Lake in 1997.
Family and friends knew her to be the loudest fan in the stands. Together, the couple traveled far and wide to watch their two sons, grandchildren and great-grandchildren play sports.
Beverly, known as "Nana," for the last 40 years, was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Stan Antrim of Liberal, Kansas, and Bob Antrim of Colorado Springs, Colorado; granddaughter Taylor Michele Hager and son Bradley Hager of Lone Oak, Texas.
Nana is survived by her husband; sister Marilyn Lowry of Newton, Kansas; son Gregory Hager and wife Jane Ann of Leander, Texas; daughter-in-law Debra Hager of Lone Oak; grandchildren Katie Garza and husband Patrick of Kyle, Texas, B.K. Hager Jr. and wife Krista of Rowlett, Adam Hose and wife Melissa, Michael Hager and wife Ashley of Rockwall, and Ashley Swoda and husband Michael of Leander; and great-grandchildren Garrett Hager, Cooper Garza, Lane Garza, Kinsey Garza, Harper Taylor Hager, Avery Swoda, Lane Swoda, Rowan Hager, and Rylee Michele Hager.
Back in 1951 the two 18-year-old kids recall, "They said it would never last!" Bev and Vic recently celebrated 67 years of marriage.
"For where your treasure is, there, also, will be your heart." Matthew 6:21
A private gathering is planned at Club Lake and Weiland Cemetery on Jan. 31.
